Adding and Removing Reviewers in Jobs
Reviewers are a specialized role in Humanly responsible for vetting discovered candidates before outreach begins. Reviewers can approve candidates, reject candidates, or provide feedback before candidates are messaged.
Anyone at your company can be assigned as a reviewer for a job. Most often, reviewers are Hiring Managers or Senior Recruiters who review sourced candidates for quality and calibration.
Reviewers help ensure that only the most relevant candidates move forward to outreach.
You can:
- Add reviewers when creating a job
- Add or remove reviewers from an existing job
- Adjust review settings for how candidates enter the review queue

Adding Reviewers to a New Job
Step 1
Follow the guide for Creating a new Job until you reach the Create a new job pop-up.
Step 2
Enable the Add a candidate reviewer toggle.
This option is available for:
- Outbound campaigns
- Inbound campaigns

Step 3
Select the teammates who should review candidates for the job.
You can select:
- Me (creator)
- One or more teammates
If your job has multiple reviewers, candidates will appear in every reviewer’s Review queue, but only one reviewer needs to approve or reject the candidate.
Step 4
Continue through the rest of the Create Job setup process.
Adding Reviewers to an Existing Job
Step 1
Open the job you want to edit and select the Configuration tab.
Step 2
In the General section, open the Reviewers dropdown.
Add the teammates who should review candidates for the job.
You can assign:
- Outbound reviewers
- Inbound reviewers
You may select Me (creator) or any teammate.
Your changes are saved automatically.


Removing Reviewers from an Existing Job
Step 1
Open the job and select the Configuration tab.
Step 2
In the General section, click the X next to the reviewer’s name to remove them.
Changes are saved automatically.
⚠️ Important
If you remove all reviewers from a job that has candidates currently waiting in the review queue, those candidates will be automatically approved and the campaign messaging sequence will begin immediately.

Changing Review Options from an Existing Job
Review settings determine which candidates are sent to the review queue.
Step 1
Open the job and go to the Configuration tab.
Step 2
Under Candidate Review, open the Review option dropdown. Choose one of the following options:
Review all candidates
All candidates sourced by you, your teammates, and Humanly will be sent to the reviewers’ queue.
Review all candidates (except when the sourcer is the reviewer)
Candidates sourced by teammates who are not reviewers will be sent to the review queue.
Review only candidates sourced by Humanly
Only candidates sourced by Humanly will be sent to the review queue. Candidates sourced by you or your teammates will bypass review.
Your selection is saved automatically.


Adding and Removing Reviewers in the Sourcing Slideout
You can add and remove reviewers for candidates while Sourcing in-app.
Please note: Changing reviewers in the Sourcing slideout only applies to the selected candidate(s).
This does not change the review settings for the job itself.
