Candidate Sourcing Metrics : How to view them and what they mean
Dashboard
When you first log in to the dashboard, you are shown an overview of information about your campaigns and candidates. This allows you to quickly grasp the current status and performance of your outreach. You also have the opportunity to dive deeper into your sourcing metrics, where you can unearth valuable insights and trends in your candidates and campaigns. Below is an overview of the various metrics displayed throughout the platform and additional information about their meaning.
Outreach

This is a high level overview of the response rate for candidates contacted across all campaigns, active and closed. You have the option of selecting the response rates across your entire team, or for your individual campaigns.
- Interested - these are the candidates that have responded positively and wanted to put a call on the calendar
- Awaiting reply - these are the candidates that have not responded to outreaches
- Other response - these are the candidates that responded with open-ended questions like “what is the salary range?” or “is this position fully remote?”
Top Campaigns
This is a quick snapshot of the top three active campaigns with the highest number of interested responses. This is further broken down into the count of Reached candidates, the rates of Responded candidates and Interested candidates.
Campaign Metrics
You can view individual campaign metrics by clicking on the campaign you would like to look into. Then, selecting the Metrics option on the left-hand side
Here’s a quick overview of each metric listed:
- Reached - total number of candidates contacted
- Opened - number/percent of candidates who have opened your email
- If you’re finding that a low percentage of candidates have opened your email, you might want to consider making an adjustment to your subject line
- Clicked - number/percent of candidates that have clicked on links included in your templates
- Responded - number/percent of candidates that have replied to your outreach
- Interested - number/percent of candidates that have responded with interest to your outreach
- Interview - number/percent of candidates that have entered into the interview process
- URG - number/percent of candidates from under represented groups that have been contacted
- Women - number/percent of women that have been contacted
- Veterans - number/percent of veterans that have been contacted
Tracking Open Rates
You can track the amount of times candidates have opened an email and clicked on a link. To track these for a specific outreach campaign, go to the campaign settings and select “track if candidates have opened your email and clicked any links”.
Reports
We have a variety of in-depth reports available to help you and your team track your progress across all campaigns. You can access these by clicking on the “Reports” section on the lefthand side of your of your dashboard.
From there, you have the option to select one of the reporting categories. These include Activity, Diversity, Candidate Targeting, Campaign Statistics, Benchmarks, and Lever Metrics reports, though not all reports are shown depending on what plan your team has.
Activity
This is a breakdown of sourcing activity across your team. You have the ability to customize the reports by filtering on these values:
Sourced Weekly
This is a breakdown of the weekly sourcing activity for campaigns created in Teamable over a range of dates. Each color represents a member of the team. Hovering over each color will show you the amount of candidates sourced by a team member during a specific week.
Candidates Sourced
This is a breakdown of the total number of candidates sourced, by team member, over a set range of dates
Interested Rate
This provides a breakdown of interested response rates by team members of a set range of dates
Top Jobs
This is a breakdown of activity based on ATS jobs over a set range of dates
Top Performing Campaigns
This is a breakdown of campaigns ranked in order of interested response rate over a set range of dates.
Candidate Targeting Report
This report provides a breakdown of response rates by a variety of candidate categories. This data can help your team determine the types of candidate profiles that are likely to respond, as well as the types of profiles that historically have shown interest in positions at your company. You have the ability to customize these reports by filtering on these values:
Companies
This provides you with a breakdown of the companies where candidates who were contacted were working at the time of the initial outreach. This can help you determine: what companies your team have been targeting the most, which companies are the most likely to have candidates respond with interest, and which companies historically have candidates that do not show interest in roles at your company.
Years Experience
This is a breakdown of the response rates based on years of experience over a set range of dates.
Locations
This is a breakdown of response rates based on geographic location. You can use this to determine if candidates in certain areas are more likely to respond, as well as having insight into the areas your team is targeting the most.
Titles
This is a breakdown of response rates by title over a set range of dates
Candidate Map
This is a breakdown of the exact location of candidates contacted over a set range of dates.
Replies by Top Companies & Locations
This ranks each company and state by the total number of responses from each.
ATS Reports
This report dives into candidate activity broken down by each stage of the interview process. This can be useful to identify bottlenecks as well as provide visibility into where candidates tend to fall out of the process. This report can be customized by filtering on these values:
Pass-through rates
This is a breakdown of the percentage of candidates that make it through each round of the interview process.
Stages by job
This is a breakdown of the total number of candidates that entered each stage of the process for specific jobs over a set range of dates.
Diversity Breakdowns
This provides a report of candidate stages broken down by gender and under represented groups.
